Elon Musk has been a staunch supporter of everything crypto-related and now the CEO of SpaceX has admitted for the first time that his privately owned aerospace company also owns bitcoin.

This is, of course, Tesla's $1.5 billion (approximately Rs 11,150 crore) investment in the world's largest and oldest digital token, which peaked at over $60,000 (about Rs 45 lakh) within months of the previous one. I've struggled a lot in a few weeks.

Speaking at The B Word conference, an event organized by the Cryptocurrency Council for Innovation at the company of ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, Musk confirmed that SpaceX does hold bitcoin although he did not invest in bitcoin with SpaceX. The investment limit was not disclosed.

The 50-year-old business magnate mentioned that he personally owns Bitcoin and Ethereum, the second most popular cryptocurrencies. Wondering if Musk has anything in Dodgecoin? the answer is yes. Musk revealed that he has personally invested in the Shiba-Inu face-themed digital currency that started as a joke but became popular on the internet after garnering support from celebrities.

Musk showed once again that he was committed to cryptocurrencies in general, saying, "One of the things you need to look at with crypto, bitcoin in particular, is by using proof of work, using energy that Slightly high and not necessarily good for the environment."

He also used the platform to reiterate that he wanted to see bitcoin succeed. Furthermore, Musk underscored that neither SpaceX nor he personally wanted to part ways with bitcoin. “If the price of bitcoin falls I lose money. I can pump but I don’t dump”. “I definitely don’t believe in going higher and selling or anything like that. I want to see bitcoin succeed."

On Thursday, bitcoin opened up 6.54 per cent at Rs 24,00,040. Dodgecoin, which closed at Rs 13.16 on the previous day, opened with a gain of 6.51 per cent at Rs 14.82 on Thursday.
